Thank you for starting off Teacher Appreciation Fridays with a bang! The breakfast provided by PTO/Salem Families for our Salem staff was a yummy way to start the day on Friday :) Also, thank you for the kind articles from your First Graders to me. These melted my heart and mean more than words can say!
Love and Logic Class
An email was sent to you this week about a Love and Logic class that is being offered by South Lyon Area Youth Assistance. I highly recommend any adult working/living with children to learn about the Love and Logic program. Find out more:

Report Card Chat
Did you take the time to chat with your First Grader about their Report Card? It's beneficial for parents and children to have a positive and constructive discussion after getting the report card to open up communication about their academic/habits of mind progress. Ask your students how they think they did and why. This would be a great time to have them reflect with the 1-4 learning target scale!
The Great Poetry Race
Listen to our most recent winners posted on our KidBlog. Great job to Ava and Ashton!
