This week your First Grader will begin bringing home a reading bag containing 2 books and a Monthly Reading Log. One of the ways we reinforce responsibility in the classroom is by students showing me they have done reading at home. The best way for me to know this is by an adult filling in their reading log every night with: WHO they read with OR the TITLE of the book(s) the read. Or you can do both if you choose J I check these daily and place stickers to show that I have seen this. Also, students earn a "clip up" in the morning by having this filled in. Please help support this by filling in each night your student reads. Keep in mind that this can be the books I send home in their reading bags, a book of choice from home, or even E-Books like Raz Kids! The best way a student can truly enjoy reading is by letting THEM choose what books they would like to read that night for about 15-20 minutes. Happy Reading!
