Earth Day is on Saturday so we will be celebrating on Friday. We have a few special events:
*We invite students to wear GREEN as a reminder to us all to take care of our Earth EVERY DAY!
*Also, we invite students to participate in a *Waste Free* Snack and Lunch for Friday! Help your student brainstorm how to create NO TRASH on this day :) Hopefully you come up with ways to continue past Earth Day!
Report Cards
Report Cards will be sent home on Wednesday. Just like in February, they will be sent home in envelopes. Please sign and return the envelope and keep all contents for yourself. I hope you have great conversations with your First Grader about their achievements this card marking!
The Great Poetry Race Week 1
The first week of The Great Poetry Race went awesome! Most students participated in some way and turned in their pages with signatures on Friday. Way to go! I hope that you enjoyed listening to your First Grader read the poem of the week to you and that you noticed how they got better each time it was read aloud :) Our winners from Week 1 were: 1st Place-Daniel, 2nd Place-Aiden & Piper, and 3rd Place-Kaitlyn! You can listen to them read by going to our classroom homepage. Enjoy!
Donuts with Dad
The PTO is hosting Donuts with Dads on Tuesday, April 25 and Wednesday, April 26. Families with last names beginning with A – L are encouraged to come on 4/25 and families with last names beginning with M – Z are encouraged to come on 4/26. In order to make this event a success volunteers are desperately needed! Please consider signing up for a morning to help out by clicking on the following link: https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/5080a45aea628a64-donuts
Dress Code
With warmer temperatures, please keep in mind that flip flops cannot be worn to school; all shoes must have a back on them. Students should still come to school with a coat as it can still be chilly when classrooms take a morning recess. A complete copy of our dress code can be found at

Happy Birthday to Evelyn on April 21st!
