Daily Reader
We need more! Every Monday-Thursday after Lunch/Recess, we have a Daily Reader who has the opportunity to read aloud to the class. Your First Grader can do this by bringing a book from home into school, and letting me know they would like to read it to the class. Encourage your first grader to do this :) We love listening to each other read!
Getting Home Changes
If you have a change in how your student is going home, please notify the office always in addition to a note/email to me. If I am out of the classroom for the day, or do not read your email in time, this may cause a problem when dismissal occurs.
KidBlog Comments
We are starting to get into a routine of blogging now with about 3-4 students a day posting/commenting. I have been notifying families of when we have new posts via Twitter & Facebook so that you can read what we are blogging about AND feel free to comment if you would like! Once we get some more comments, we will begin chatting about replying to those comments. Comments can be: Questions, Connections, Encouragement, etc. Happy reading and commenting!

The Great Poetry Race
April is Poetry Month! We will be reading poetry as well as creating our own poetry. One special project is The Great Poetry Race which will be a friendly competition of reading poetry to family and friends. A note will be coming home this week so stay tuned and get ready to get your poetry on!
Wallwisher Theme: How do you REDUCE to help to Earth? Have your First Grader join the conversation!
