This is Mrs. Hipp, and this my first blog for the school year! Having me updating can only mean one thing: Mrs. Wilson had her baby! Early in the morning on Friday, January 9th, Braeden was born. I know we all send our sincere congratulations to Mrs. Wilson and her husband, and wish them all the best as they begin to explore the many adventures of parenting. Now on to classroom news:
Science Unit Assessment
Last week a review guide was sent home to prepare for our unit assessment on Pebbles, Sand, & Silt. The assessment will take place this Wednesday, January 14th.
Needed: Room Parent
We are in need of a room parent to organize a classroom party for Valentine's Day on February 13th @ 2:30-3:30. Please contact me if you are willing to be the Party Manager. Thanks in advance!
Empty Cereal Boxes Needed
We will be using empty cereal boxes to decorate and store our Valentines in the near future. Please send in any empty ones you may have! Also, I am looking for a volunteer that would be willing to come in the week of February 2-6 to cover the cereal boxes with white paper for us to be able to decorate them. Let me know if you are interested in this! Thanks.
Disguise the Snowman Project
This week your student will come home with a an informative note, writing page, and a snowman paper ready to be disguised! This is a fun, creative family project that we hope you enjoy. These do not need to be returned until Monday, January 26th. Have fun!
Box Top Contest
We still have until January 15th to turn in our Box Tops. Make sure to label them with Mrs. Wilson's name.
Happy Birthday to Kurtis on January 17th!
